My name is Janette Towey, Physical Therapist, Cranial Therapist and Manipulative Therapist, all carried out the I.I.P.T. in Cork.
I would fully recommend the Physical Therapy Course at the I.I.P.T. With my previous qualification I obtained from other physical therapy schools here in Ireland, I lacked fundamental element/skills that I needed to become a good and safe therapist when treating people with health issues. Through the Physical Therapy course at the I.I.P.T. in Cork I have equipped myself with diagnostic tools, knowing how best and when to treat patients and knowing when to refer patients on to more skilled professionals.
I have also gained great hands on experience working in a clinical setting while attending the course. Some of the topics the course covers such as Orthopaedic tests, joint assessment, joint mobilisation and manipulation and various conditions that present in a clinical situation. The Cork course was very informative and is a must for anybody wishing to work in the field of Physical Therapy.

My name is Anthony Phelan, prior to attending the I.I.P.T. I had undertaken a number of Physical Therapy courses in Ireland and the U.K.
It is clear that there is strong emphasis at the I.I.P.T. on developing practitioners with very competent hands-on skills. The Physical Therapy course content contained a comprehensive set of assessment protocols and treatment techniques that equip any aspiring practitioner with the tools needed to work confidently in a clinical setting. The physical therapy course manual was very professionally put together. There are photographs and step by step instructions for each technique.
This is an invaluable resource. The teaching standards were also high. Each tutor already worked full time in the field and could draw on their own clinical experiences to give the class a better learning experience. For anyone wishing to pursue a career in physical medicine, I would highly recommend the I.I.P.T. On completion of the course you will have developed the set of skills required to successfully embark on a successful career.

My name is Brendan Kirrane of Achilles sports Injury Clinic, Limerick Physical therapist and member of the Irish paralympic medical team.
What i found of most benefit to me attending IIIPT cork was the emphasis the college placed on orthopaedic testing & accurately diagnosing what is wrong with the patient before formulating a treatment plan, which included soft tissue and joint mobilisation when appropriate.
Practical experience is gained when students work either with Kieran or one of the other tutors in a busy clinical environment seeing first hand how what is taught at lectures is put into practice & secondly working on patients with conditions under a supervised capacity.
Having attended other therapy courses throughout the country i would strongly recommend the physical therapy course at the IIPT cork.
I would like to thank Kieran , Pauline and all the team at IIPT for their hard work, patience and dedication in making the physical therapy and related courses such a success.”

My name is Luke Kelly, Year 2 student with the Irish Institute of Physical Therapy. Having recently completed a Physical Therapy and Orthopaedic Sports Massage course with another Institute, I felt that it didn’t live up to my expectations, and I wasn’t comfortable with the standard of my training to be a safe and effective practitioner.
The priority of IIPT is patient care, knowing when to treat and when to refer to primary health providers, the curriculum of Year 1 is very thorough taking the student through Remedial massage, Orthopaedic tests, Joint mobilisations and many Conditions and Injuries, after which the student will possess the knowledge and skills needed to identify problems or dysfunction and treat patients in a structured and confident manner.
The course content is delivered by experienced professionals at a pace that suits everybody and the facilities provided are excellent. If you’re serious about attaining the highest quality Manual Therapy skills then the IIPT will not disappoint.

Finally a course that offers everything a therapist needs to know to be able to properly assess and treat patients. I’ve been doing courses in Physical Therapy and related subjects for over 10 years in various colleges in Ireland and none compare to the Irish Institute of Physical Therapy. The tutors are to be commended for their work and motivation. In my opinion if your serious about helping patients you need to train at the I.I.P.T.
